i found it....now i know the name and have the lyrics to the opera that eye fell in love with as a child...one could say it allowed me to drift into the world of thought as the people i knew grew up on pop and grunge and 80's songs.....eye found classical opera to be different and for the most part freeing as i never knew the words had meaning...merely it was just beautiful to listen to........ the opera that started it all for me.... has taken me 15 years to find.....sure it was never a pressing quest but it was one i had always wanted to finish......now i have lyrics and sound to Carmina Burana by Carl Orff(always been a fan of German composers)
i know some of you will already know it...just from the name alone..... but know i have no skill in music....i can't play or read a note.(was oddly enough not the chinese kid who's parents forced him to learn how to play the classics)...
i know few people in the field of music so in depth that they would know what i was trying to describe.....since it is hard to convey sounds with no meaning or words which are just sounds to someone else.....i had only listened to the whole thing once......when i was 12 years old sleeplessly awake at home trying to sleep when i knew it was pointless trying..and i knew i needed sleep...so said to myself go listen to the radio...and it came on just after the Dj said the name...so i got to listen from start to finish but never if by fate could heard its name..... and i listened till it ended.... was so captured by it that sleep would not bother with me......
how this memory comes back now or even why i do no know...it is just a sigh of joy i guess for finally having sound and lyrics...i had in the end only known it as the movie theme from Excalibur.....since no one knew the name of what opera it was from i was only left with the sounds
